The riding
Alta permits summer pedal-based mountain biking on named routes including Summer Road, Devil's Castle and Home Run. It is a local alpine outing rather than a lift-served gravity park.
The area
Alta is a base for summer mountain outings in Utah. Plan around the permitted pedal routes and their starting points, rather than choosing accommodation on the assumption that the ski lifts carry bikes.
